Still some knitting edges to do on the two remaining sides. |
Cutting open between steeks. |
But stranded knitting would be out of the question for jackets and shawls without it. This time I made three sewn steeks on top of each other just to be sure.
I want a big shawl and since this is my first one I had no idea about the actual size before cutting it open.
And that feeling of cutting the last stitch and lift it up - worth a million!!! Just what I wanted in size.
Now, I did not like the edge from the pattern. It does not give a proper frame to the shawl. And this kind of shawl without a pointy end was not to my liking.
So I started searching online and found a very skilled knitter in Denmark who shares all her knowledge even for free.
I did not have to invent everything and wondering if I knitted the edge right. With such a huge shawl it would be impossible to me. So thank you Anne for all your help.
So, last thing to do now: Pick up stitches along the two other edges and knit the last ones. I can see the end of the project and I already love it so much. What a fun knit. See about yarn and much more on my Ravelry page.
Everything will be all right in the end. If it is not all right, then it is not yet the end
